I am in the Civil Systems program in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of California at Berkeley. My research interests include urban water distribution and sanitation systems in South Asia and East Africa, sustainability of small community water supplies, hygiene behavior change, real-time water quality measurements, and the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to improve water and sanitation services. My dissertation research is on water quality in intermittent water supplies in a city in Karnataka.
